Overwhelmed About Search Engine Optimization? – How To Hire A Good SEO Firm

March 13th, 2010 Tino Toskala No comments

Are you a website owner and do you feel overwhelmed when it comes to search engine optimization? I don’t blame you. You probably get daily sales pitches from SEO practitioners every day. But how do you weed out the good SEO firms from the bad ones to be able to make the right choice and hire a firm that could really help your business website?

It’s actually quite simple. Most SEO firms will claim to be able to get you first page rankings on internet search engines for your chosen keywords. If an SEO company guarantees first page rankings its only logical to reason that their own website will have first page rankings for their own targeted keywords. After all, why would they promise you first page rankings if they cannot even achieve those desired results for themselves?

Take the SEO company’s #1 target keyword. Go to Google and search it. If you see their website displayed on page 1 of search results you can be assured that you’re dealing with a good SEO firm. If they are not on page 1 of results, don’t bother with them; hire an SEO firm that is.

“But how do you know what the SEO firm’s top targeted keyword is?” you may ask. That is quite easy to look up as well. Follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the home page of the firm’s website. Right-click your mouse on an empty part of the home page.
  2. Scroll down to where it says “view source” and click on it
  3. A note pad with a lot of writing will pop-up. Go down a few lines and stop at the line that begins with “Meta name = keywords content.” This line will display a list of keywords. The first keyword is the main targeted keyword that this SEO firm has targeted to try to rank well on internet search engines.

This first keyword in the “meta tag” is the keyword that the SEO for is targeting for their own site. If they are not on page one on search results from Google or Yahoo, don’t believe their hype. For example, if you see “Dallas search engine optimization” as the first keyword in the meta tag, search that phrase on Google and Yahoo. If it’s on page one of search results know that you are hiring a good SEO firm. If it’s not on page one, don’t bother with them; find an SEO firm that is.

How Long Does it Take to Write a Book

March 13th, 2010 Lance Winslow No comments

Many people believe it takes years and years to write a book and it can if you wish to stretch out that long. But if you really know your subject matter you should be able to rattle off a book very quickly. Many writing experts say this is not possible and it takes countless hours and lots of patience to write a book.

Many of the experts say that there are some days you just can’t write because of writer’s block. I completely disagree and think this is a copout and it is simply laziness. You see, for the past 16 months I have been averaging 5600 words a day and at least twice a week I put out over 12,000 words per day.

Now my writing has been specifically online article writing up until now. I only have one published book as a co-author on the shelves at Barnes & Noble and at Amazon. I have three e-books on my web site, which I had done previously, which are basically How-To Books for the public. So I am not what you might call a book writer.

They call me an amateur online article author but let’s just put all the titles away for now. Today, I completed 16,800 words today in just under 17 hours. This represents 40 articles. I believe I could do this 3 times per week and still perform at 5,600 to 6,000 words a day the rest of the 4 days working 7-days a week, which is what I am use to before my retirement (self employment prepares one for anything I guess?).

I am not afraid of the hard work and believe if I have to I could double it in a crunch situation. I do not allow myself to get sick or anything of that nature. So, I believe I am up for the challenge, I guess I get to find out the hard way?

At this rate I could easily put out a 60,000 to 90,000 word novel in just over a week. And I believe that if you put your mind to something there is nothing you cannot do. Of course it would probably take me two weeks to edit it, but nevertheless that is still putting out a novel in three weeks and this is possible. So how long does it take to write a book? It takes a week or more. And the rest depends on you and your strength of character, determination and perseverance. Please consider this in 2006.

March 13th, 2010 Tim James No comments

Learning how to build muscle would be very easy if you know the best technique in doing this. The key is to fully understand the basic techniques. Below are some techniques on how to build lean muscles:

Focus on what you do. Building muscles usually are done through heavy exercises such as bench presses, squat, stiff legged, bent over rows, close grip bench presses and more. Stay away from things that would intimidate you. If you are at the gym, focus only on what you will do which are the heavy exercises that were mentioned above.

Work on a limited number of sets. As the old saying says, “Patience is a virtue”. You will not be able to achieve your goal right away. Expert says that, it is not necessary to do work outs everyday. It is suggested to go to the gym at least 3 times a week for 3 to 4 hours sessions and make sure to have an enough rest. You may also want to try weight lifting techniques such as the two sets of warm ups then 5 sets up weight lifting or depending on your capability

Use heavy weights wisely. It is very much understood that the best way to build your muscles is to use heavy weights. However, it is also very important to bear in mind that only use weights that you are capable with. If you think 120 lbs weight is heavy for you, then that is a heavy weight that you do not need to try.

Always have enough rest. Gym instructors believe that muscles will start building up, not when you are doing heavy weights. You need to give yourself enough rest to allow your muscle to build.
